The firm is established in Sherman Oaks, California, by G.S. Sikand. Founded on principles of technical excellence and community commitment, Sikand begins its legacy of shaping Southern California’s growing landscape through foundational land surveying and engineering.
1984
Mark Sikand, PE, joins the firm, bringing a renewed focus on modern engineering methodologies. This period marks a major leadership transition and the implementation of advanced computer-aided design systems, setting the stage for more complex development projects.
1995
Sikand Engineering Associates evolves into a regional leader in Planning and Entitlements. The firm manages multi-phase master planning for significant residential expansions in Santa Clarita, pioneering large-scale earthwork and infrastructure coordination.
2015
A historic milestone is reached: Sikand Engineering successfully completes planning and design for over 100,000 residential units across Southern California. This achievement underscores our role as vital partners in solving the region’s housing and infrastructure needs.
2026
